1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the ComplianceOS platform operated by ComplianceOS Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms.

2. The service

ComplianceOS is a software platform that helps landlords track property compliance certificates (Gas Safety, EICR, EPC), receive renewal reminders, and generate compliance documentation. The service is available at app.complianceops.co.uk.

3. Not legal advice

ComplianceOS provides general information and tools to help you manage compliance. It does not constitute legal advice. You remain solely responsible for ensuring your properties meet all legal requirements. We recommend consulting a qualified legal professional for specific compliance questions.

4. Your account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the service
• One person or legal entity per account

5. Free and paid plans

We offer a free tier (1 property) and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time — your access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

6. AI certificate extraction

Our AI feature extracts dates and details from uploaded certificates. While we strive for accuracy, AI extraction is not infallible. You must always review and confirm extracted data before relying on it. We are not liable for errors in AI-extracted information that you confirm and save.

7. Your data

You retain ownership of all data you upload to ComplianceOS. We process your data solely to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data at any time.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise the platform
• Share your account credentials with others
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or copy the platform

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ComplianceOS Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
